🌳 Vlčí jámy – a remnant of mining history

In the middle of the woods near Horní Blatná, there is a unique natural monument – Vlčí jámy, the collapsed shafts of old tin mines. The trail will take you around Ledová jáma, which stays cool all year round, and along an educational trail that introduces you to the local mining history. There is also the Blatenská lookout tower.

🏘️ Horní Blatná – a treasure of the Ore Mountains

After your walk, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Horní Blatná, a picturesque town with half-timbered houses, a historic center, and beautiful views of the surrounding area. Ideal for a short stop or a walk.

🍽️ Lunch at Faustův dvůr

After your trip, you can recharge your batteries and relax in a pleasant environment – the ideal end to your trip. We recommend booking in advance, especially during the high season.

🧙‍♂️ Faust and his trail in the Ore Mountains

And now something for lovers of mystery… According to local legend, the famous Doctor Faust visited this area while searching for a way to control the forces of nature. It is said that he hid in a mountain cottage, where he conducted alchemical experiments – until one day he disappeared without a trace. His name is also borne by the popular restaurant Faustův dvůr, where today, instead of potions, excellent Czech cuisine is cooked. 🍽️
